it has been a while since I last posted a message here at my blog. i have been busy being a mom to our little princess YSABELA MARGRETTE....
I gave birth last Nov 16, 2005, 2:00 pm at the Chinese General Hospital via Caesarean delivery.
November 5 - I was required by my OB to have a Bio-Physical Score and a Non-Stress Test. And nakita nya sa BPS result ko na mababa na ang level ng amniotic fluid index (8.4 cm) ko and pag di pa ako nanganak in 3 days, kailangan ulit ako mag pa BPS para ma check yung level ng AFI ko. Hindi daw kse pwede bumaba sa 5 cm yung AFI ko. And if bumaba na sya sa 5cm, ma scheduled CS ako
November 8 - I had another BPS and NST kse hindi pa din nag o-open cervix ko. It is still not below 5 cm (6.8 cm) kaya sabi ng OB ko pwede pa namin intayin hanggang sa due date ko, which is November 16. But I have to have another BPS and NST on November 10 to check again my AFI. Pero binigyan na din nya ako ng mga endorsement letter sa DR, para in case na maglabor na ako, pwede na daw ako dumiretso sa DR.
November 10 - May conference lahat ng doctor ng Chinese General so nirefer ako ng OB ko sa Medic Lab. My OB gave me instructions to call her and report to her my AFI. And if it is below 5 cm, magpa admit na daw ako that afternoon para I-CS na nya ako by Nov 11, am. So ready na ako ma CS kaya nag file na ako ng leave sa office. Pero nagulat ako kse tumaas na naman ang AFI ko. From 6.8 cm naging 12.1 cm na sya. So noong tinawag ko sa OB ko yung result ng BPS ko, sabi nya ok pa daw yun kaya balik na lang daw ako for check up and another BPS on November 15.
November 15 - My AFI is 5.8 cm na lang kaya ineschedule na nya ako for CS ng November 16 ng hapon. Hindi ko kasama si Howell noong check up kaya tinext ko sya to give him a heads up na magpapaadmit na ako that evening. Umuwi muna kami ng mom & dad ko para kunin na yung mga gamit na dadalhin namin sa hospital. Pagdating sa bahay, I tried to sleep para ma relax ako pero hindi din ako makatulog kse kinakabahan na ako. After eating dinner, hinatid na kami ng mom & dad ko sa hospital. Noong naka settle na kami sa room ko, umuwi na sila and sabi babalik na lang sila tomorrow am.
November 16 - I ate my first & last meal for that day around 5:30 am. Di na kse ako pwede kumain after 6AM. Then around 6:30 nilagyan na ako ng dextrose. Around 12 pm, sinundo na ako ng nurse para ihatid ako sa OR. Howell, his sister, my mom & dad and and my Tita Jie was there para ihatid ako sa OR. Habang papunta kami sa OR, naiyak talaga ako sa takot. Buti na lang mabait yung mga nurse na kasama ko while waiting for my OB and anaesthesiologist sa OR. Nakipag kwentuhan sila sa akin kaya medyo na relax ako. Tinanong ko din yung asst. ng anaesthesiologist ko kung masakit ba yung anaesthesia kse sa spinal sya itusok. And inexplain naman nya sa akin and hindi daw sya masakit kaya nabawasan din nerbyos ko. And tama nga sya, kse wala talaga akong naramdaman noong tinusok na sa akin yung anaesthesia. A few minutes after, wala na talaga akong maramdaman from my abdomen down.
Around 1:30 noong nag start yung operation ko. Medyo inaantok ako and medyo umiikot paningin ko (epekto siguro ng anaesthesia). Pero hindi talaga ako natulog hanggat di ko naririnig baby ko. Exactly 2:00pm, narinig ko na yung first cry nya. Then after ilang minutes lang, nilapit na sa akin si Bela para sa aming first picture. Ngiting ngiti nga ako sa picture namin na yun. Sabi ng mommy ko parang di daw ako nanganak. Sayang nga wala si Howell don kse di allowed sa CGH na isama ang husband sa loob ng OR. Good thing na video naman ng nurse yung pagkuha kay Bela sa tyan ko pati yung first cry hanggang dalhin sya sa nursery. Past 3 na natapos yung operation ko and around 7 pm na ako nadala sa room ko from the recovery room.
Giving birth to Bela is one of the most amazing experience I have. Truly, Ysabela is the greatest gift that Howell and I ever received. We're both so thankful to God for giving us, our little princess Ysabela....

Howell & I are very thankful to everbody who visited us at the hospital and sa house and for all your prayers, to all our friends from n@w & w@w (di ko na kayo iisa isahin at baka may ma miss pa ako), our high school & college friends, our officemates, and to our relatives who has always been there for us, THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH.
