Before the year ends….

Posted by abie on 9:05 AM in ,
Year 2007 has been a pretty good year for our family. We are so thankful for all the blessings that He has bestowed upon us. We’re not a perfect family but we are trying to be what God would want us to be. I know I don’t deserve all of these blessings but I’m eternally grateful for continually blessing our family.

This year, God showered all of us with good health. My Tita Pen was first diagnosed to have cancer but God was really good and He immediately answered our prayers and He has kept my Tita well and doctors from St. Luke’s even disagreed with the findings of my aunt’s first doctor. She is continually doing ok now. Also, Bela’s cardiologist confirmed that the hole in her heart is already closed. We have been praying for this for so long now and indeed, prayer can really move mountains. And Bela is really growing up to be a beautiful and smart kid. God has also showered all of us with good health and has always kept us away from harm or any danger.

2007 has also been good for my husband and my cousin’s photo-video business. It was this year that their business picked up. They started receiving a lot of bookings (usually 3-4 bookings per month) through friends and officemates’ referral.

It was also this year that my brother and I we’re able to bring our whole family out of the country. We we’re also able to have a lot of out of town vacations with my family.

It was also this year that Bela and I we’re able to get our 10 years multiple entry visa. This is a big thing for me as I always get single entry visa (3 times already…hehehe). And it was also this year that Howell was sent on training to US.

I don’t think one whole day would be enough to enumerate all the blessings that God has showered us. I don’t want to be melodramatic but most of you don’t know that Howell and I both came from a poor family. My mom & dad, when they were kids, had to work to earn money so they can go to school. We started to taste a little comfort in life when my dad worked abroad. I never imagined that God would really be good to us and will shower us with whatever luxury (if I can call it luxury) that we are experiencing right now. We owe everything to Him and before the year ends, I just like to thank HIM and may you continue to bless and guide our family always. We love you very much!

Happy New Year everyone.

Our weekend after Christmas

Posted by abie on 11:25 PM in , ,
Last Saturday, we’re supposed to attend the free Christmas camp at the Little Gym at 10 Am but since Howell accepted a pre-nup shoot in the afternoon, we both got lazy to wake up early to attend the camp. Howell’s shoot will be at the Global Fun Carnival and so he’s asking us to go with him. But being yaya less, I can already imagine Bela tirelessly running around and I would be following her. So I thought it would just be one tiring day if we join Howell, so we just decided to stay at home and played with her new V smile-TV system.

Sunday, Howell has another pre-nup shoot again for their wedding on January 18. He left around 9 AM for the shoot and so we have to get up early. When he arrived, we immediately left to go to Rockwell. We had a nice photo shoot there as there are a lot of spots perfect for photo opps. I’ll have a separate kwento about this when I’m finished downloading all our pictures so I can post my kwento together with the pictures.

I checked some paid blogging sites and I only have one opps today. But that’s ok as I'm already sleepy and I still have to go to work tomorrow (tindi ng office ko noh?..LOL). So, good night everyone. Have to hit the sack now.

Body, Mind & Spirit

Posted by abie on 11:08 PM in
Last week was not a busy week in the office. I was just sitting comfortably in my room waiting for a phone call from one of our clients or waiting for an order from my boss. Maybe most of us are already in vacation mode so all of us are too lazy to work. So while I was tinkering with my computer, a colleague visited me in my room and we had a small chit chat.

She has been complaining about sleepless nights and she sometimes has to take sleeping pills to put herself to sleep. And so I immediately remembered the site that I just discovered for self improvement, the site of Diet mind spirit. The site offers a list of natural remedies for insomnia so I gave the link of their site to my colleague so she can look for alternative medicines like herbs with no side effects instead of relying on sleeping pills.

She can also check the site for their list of different helps and tips about personal growth. They have articles about faith and spirituality, creativity, education, inspiration, body mind spirit or just about the general things in life. Hope my colleague can find this site useful for her own self improvement and personal growth.

Marc and the AR Asia 2

Posted by abie on 11:00 PM in ,
I’m really not a Marc Nelson fan. I even saw him at Bora before but I didn’t even mind him even if a lot of girls are drooling over him. But boy, I started appreciating him (and I am now crazy for him. LOL. ) because of the Amazing Race Asia. He’s cute pala ha and macho…hehehe.. So I’m always looking forward to my Thursday evenings (pass muna sa Marimar), as I have to see Marc Nelson at the Amazing Race Asia 2. And mind you, they’re good. Ever since the start of the second leg, they (Marc and his team mate, Rovilson) always end up first at the finish line. I’m keeping my fingers cross and hoping that they will be the first Filipino to win the Amazing Race.

The Amazing Race Asia Season 2 is being shown every Thursday at 9 PM on AXN.

The Flower Girl & the Photographer

Posted by abie on 12:23 PM in , , ,
Bela will be one of the flower girls for Noemi and Vice’s wedding on Saturday, January 5. Noemi is Howell’s officemate. We got the gown of Bela yesterday and she really looks cute on it. Hope she will not have any tantrums and she will walk down the aisle together with the other flower girls. This is her second time to be a flower girl. Her firt was during the wedding of her Ninang Joy & Ninon Erwin at SOJ.

Howell will also be the backup photographer for the wedding. The wedding is at 10 AM so we are planning to check in Friday evening so we won’t cram the next morning for the preparation. I’m still looking for cheap Tagaytay hotels where we can stay for the night. Rigth now, I’m currently looking at Days Hotel and Tagaytay Econo Inn. Their room rates are affordable plus they are highly recommended by my officemates.

Mga sisters, if you have any suggestions for nice & affordable hotels in Tagytay, just leave me a comment. Thanks in advance.

Bad Credit Offers

Posted by abie on 11:53 AM in
My brother needs to buy a new Mac PC which he will be using for our cell phone business. There is an on going promo right now where he can purchase the latest Mac Book and pay for it within 12 months at zero percent interest. The problem is, he does not have any credit card and he has a bad credit history for not paying his credit card dues and interest on time. He really wanted to buy the new Mac book and so I helped him by giving him the website of Bad Credit Offers.

BadCreditOffers.com is a free resource on the web which helps consumers with bad credit history by compiling a list of top bad credit offers available. Consumers then will have more resources in finding the best credit offers for them that will suit their needs and financial ability even if they have a bad credit history. The site has a list of offers for bad credit loans, bad credit cards, and they can even help consumers find the best offer for home loans and auto loans even if they have a bad credit record. Consumers can compare features and details of each offer side by side to choose the best offer that will fit their needs. Application is really hassle free as it is done online.

To Bohol…

Posted by abie on 12:56 PM in ,
This is our Christmas gift for my mom and dad. (Click on the image to enlarge. Did this collage as our Christmas card that we gave to our mom & dad on Christmas day)

An all expenses paid vacation to Bohol. My brother and I split the expenses. Of course, Howell, Bela and I will be tagging along with them (syempre mas enjoy sila pag kasama nila ang kanilang apo..hehehe). This will also be our anniversary/birthday celebration.

I also was able to get a confirmation from asiatravel.com that our reservations with Bohol Beach Club are already confirmed after paying the full amount online. Can’t wait to have this much-needed vacation and time off from work.

We will be staying at BBC but I plan to take my mom and dad to Panglao Island Nature Resort for a day tour. I love this resort as it is very relaxing and not that crowded compared to Alona or BBC. For sure Bela will enjoy the beach and the infinity pool there. Hopefully, I’ll have extra budget so we can all get a nice pampering massage from the new spa at PINR. Hay, uber excited na talaga ako. (Obvious ba?…hehehe)

Yaya Less

Posted by abie on 12:14 PM in
I read Toni’s post that they will be yaya less this coming week. Well, I’m on the same boat too. My yaya is leaving today to spend her new year with her family in Bicol. She will be there until January 1 and will leave for Manila on January 2. Hopefully she will be true to her words and she will arrive here on the 3rd of January.

So more bonding time with Bela this coming week. Looking forward to it.

More Collectables

Posted by abie on 9:31 AM in
Howell just got back from his training at Washington, DC. During the weekend, he visited his relatives in New York and he was able to check the biggest toy store in New York City. Before he left, I gave him the go signal to buy whatever he wants to buy for his collection. That would be my Christmas gift for him. And so he was able to shop for a lot of Star Wars collectables that he can add to his collection. He was so happy with the new items that he got for his collection and so he was really hooked in buying more stuff.

And so I gave him the website that found where he can bid and buy some more stuffs to add to his collection. I know he will be interested in checking out the Hornby Collectables. For sure, a model railway will be a nice addition to his collectables. And I’m also definite that my daughter will enjoy it as well. The site even has an Antiques Blog where my husband can search for more collectables. Another interesting item that I found on the website is the different sets of Wade Collectables. Wade has been producing great ceramics for over 200 years now and so their collection of Wade figurines and Wade Whimsies is s definite spot to check for nice collectable items.

Three Little Birds

Posted by abie on 11:11 AM in
“Dont worry about a thing, cause every little thing gonna be all right.”

I just discovered that Bela loves Bob Marley. Hehehe. Howell downloaded Bob Marley songs and he has been playing it in the car yesterday on our way to Greenhills. And Bela was dancing with the song. Her favorite is Three Little Birds. It’s the theme song from the movie Shark Tale. She’s singing along with the player kahit puro dulong lyrics lang alam nya. LOL. “….wowi…..ol right”

Thank you Tito

Posted by abie on 11:00 AM in ,
We went to Greenhills yesterday to exchange the pants that I bought for Howell while he is gone. The size that I picked was too small for him. He has been pigging out when he was at US so he gained weight, thus, the pants that I bought for him won’t fit him. LOL.

After exchanging the pants, we drop by at our cell phone store to check on my brother. And guess what, he brought Bela to Toy Kingdom because he hasn’t bought a gift for her. He asked me what Bela wants and I can’t think of anything so I just told him to buy the Gazillion Bubble Maker. Unfortunately it is out of stock. So we went around to look for other items. My brother asked me if I want the TV Learning System (same as the V Smile TV Learning system) but I told him that Howell bought the V Smile TV learning System for Bela already. (So na diskubre ko tuloy na ganon pala kalaki budget nya…hehehe…). So I looked around for other stuff that I think Bela would love. And so I found this Leap Pad System.

They have a promo where it includes 3 books and a backpack. I showed it to my brother and he immediately said yes. Thanks bro, love you very much!! And the cartridges are on sale at 50% off (Buy 1 Take 1) so I bought two additional cartridges for Bela – Cars and Toy Story 2.

When we reached home, we immediately played with it. Even I loved it. Bela was so sleepy already but she doesn’t want to let go of her new toy. Sulit talaga tito ang gift mo. Thanks again bro.

Happy Holidays

Posted by abie on 9:58 AM in ,
Happy Holiday again to all my fellow bloggers. How has your Christmas been?

We had a busy holiday season. Howell arrived just in the nick of time last Dec 24. We first attended our Christmas eve mass at my alma mater at 8 PM. Then we had our dinner at my grand mother’s house and we left around 10:30 PM to fetch Howell at the airport. My cousin, my siblings and my aunts and uncles just waited for us at home while we fetch Howell at the airport. On our way to the airport, around 11 PM, I received a phone call from Howell. He’s here!! He was able to get out of the airport by 12 am and we hurriedly went home. Bela was still asleep and so he was not able to welcome her dad home.

Howell didn’t eat while he’s on the plane, as he is getting ready for his noche Buena. He immediately head to our dining room when we reached our grandmother’s house (he is that hungry). We had a short drinking session after and we went home around 2 AM so Howell can take a rest.

When we reached our house, he immediately unpacked his luggage so I can wrap all our gifts for Bela (talk bout cramming…hehehe). I finished packing around 3:30 AM and we both hit the sack after that.

Bela woke up early come Christmas day and she was all smiles after seeing her dad. She immediately asked her dad to carry her. We spent the entire day at home for our Christmas reunion. We had lunch first and then we proceeded to our traditional gift giving. Everybody was happy after opening their gifts, specially Bela who was really happy with her Pokemon collections from her Lola Jie.

Howell was already feeling sleepy around 2 PM and so is Bela. And so both of them had their afternoon nap while the rest of us when back to our grandmother’s house to watched the edited video of our HK Trip.

Bela woke up around 5 PM and we started to hit the road again to spend Christmas with Howell’s family in Tandang Sora, QC. We had dinner and Bela was the center of attention again as she is so proud and confident in showing all her tricks to her titos and titas and cousins. She was dancing the papaya dance, she was doing her review of all the shapes and colors, and she even showed them that she could count from 1-10. I was one proud mom again. We went home around 10 PM as we’re all tired and sleepy already.

Howell took a lot of pictures (yes, our photographer is back). Haven’t got the time to download it yet but I’ll post some pictures as soon as I can find the time to download it.

Happy Holidays again to everyone.

Barney Live in Manila – 12.23. 2007

Posted by abie on 11:41 PM in ,
We left the house at 5 Pm for the 7 PM show. I decided to leave early as I’m afraid that there might be a heavy traffic since it’s the Christmas season. But my dad knows a route where there is no traffic so we are already at Araneta by 5:30. We passed by at the main entrance to ask what time they will open the gate for the 7 PM show and then we head to Gateway for merienda. But Bela already saw the big screen showing the commercial for the Barney show inside the coliseum and so she was resiting when we are getting a seat at Pizza Hut to eat. Of course, the lolo gave in to his grand daughter’s whish and he said that we could go inside the coliseum na daw and he will just eat while waiting for us.

The gate is already open when we went back to the entrance and so we decided to go in na din. Thanks to Peachy’s tip, we we’re able to sneak in our SLR camera. Walang hassle at di ko na kailangang mag emote sa security guard. I just covered it with Bela’s diapers and the Barney stuffed toy and naipasok namin sya agad. (And maybe they’re more lenient na since it’s the last show na). Peachy gave me a tip also to go to the booth of Enfakid for a free pictorial with their Barney standee. So habang wala pang gaanong tao, we we’re able to avail of two free pictures from Enfakid. Then we just bought our food and went inside na.

Bela was starting to get a little scared when they dimmed the light inside when it’s almost time for the show to start. She wants me to carry her and she was hugging me and she was starting to have tantrums already. But right after seeing Barney when he came out of the stage, oh boy, she started to sing already and she was jumping with joy.

The Security permitted the kids to go in front of the stage. I tried to bring Bela there but she doesn’t want to be away from me and only kids are allowed to stay in front of the stage. So doon na lang kami umupo, sa center aisle ng first row. Pero noong medyo dumadami na yung tao, nag aya na si Bela back to our seats.

Naku, super sulit talaga yung ticket namin at super enjoy si Bela. She was dancing and singing and doing the action for the songs. After the show, she kept on saying “Watch Barney” and she was kissing and hugging her Barney stuffed toy. Hanggang sa car, nanggigigil sa tuwa at tili ng tili sabay kiss ulit kay Barney. Hay, like Joaqui, number one fan din talaga ni Barney si Bela.

Sharing some of the pictures that my sister took.

==
Side Kwento: While waiting for the show to start, there were staffs going around selling Barney souvenirs. I saw Bela standing in front of the staff selling the souvenirs and she was intently looking at the Barney items. So I asked her. “What do you want baby?” And then I told her she can get one thing there that she wants. She was holding a straw and right after hearing what I said, she immediately gave me the straw she was holding and then said “Ch-Chu.” (Thank You). Hay, nadurog na naman ang puso ko kaya kahit wala ako balak bumili dahil nga ang mahal (OA ang price), napabili tuloy ako ng plastic watch ng di oras kahit di ko type. LOL.

Barney na

I was chatting with Peachy & Kelly last night and lalo ako na excite for the Barney show after hearing their stories. Haven’t seen any pictures though. Ayaw pa pakita ni Peachy pictures nya para daw surprise.

Hope maipuslit ko yung SLR cam ng brother ko. Pano ko kaya gawin yun? Wish me luck Peachy. Nag backup na din ako ng pictures ng cellphone ko and I celeaned up the memory card para if ever di ko ma maipasok ang SLR cam, may back up plan ako.

I’ll try to post my kwento later when we get home. Enjoy the rest of the week mga sisters.

Xmas Celebration with my Office Buddies

Posted by abie on 6:55 AM in , , ,
Yesterday we went to Tagaytay for the Christmas get together of my office buddies. We wanted to break our traditional lunch or dinner out every Christmas so we decided to go out of town this time.

Since Howell’s still not here and we don’t have a driver, Bela’s ninong Dennis was so bait and he picked us up at Chowking in front of the US Embassy. We then went to Shell in Magallanes to meet our other friends who are coming from Makati. When we met at Shell Magallanes, Timmy and Liza transferred to our car and then we head off to Tagaytay.

We decided to stop by at Paseo de Sta. Rosa and we’ll have a convoy from there. We arrived there first and so we we’re able to check some of the stores there. They now have an outlet store of Havaianas. Good thing there were no size for Bela, so I was not able to buy another havaianas for Bela. I was able to checked Nike park and was able to buy my dad a jersey at 50% off and I was able to buy an aqua socks (which I will be using for our Bohol Trip) at 50% off also. After a few minutes my friends form the other car arrived and then we head to Jospehine’s Tagaytay for our lunch. We had a sumptuous lunch at Jospehine’s. We we’re not able to avail of the weekend buffet since the buffet closed early yesterday because there was a wedding reception at the garden. Our lunch was courtesy of our October and November celebrants, Timmy and Dale. After Jospehine’s we went to Bag of Beans for dessert. We had our exchange gift there and Bela was the luckiest since she received gifts from all of my office buddies since all of them are Bela’s god parents. And she was happy with all the gifts she received as she was saying “wow” after opening each of them. She also enjoyed running around the garden and playing with the birds. We we’re not able to take any pictures since all of us assumed that somebody will bring their digital camera. LOL. This is the only picture that I got of Bela while she’s having a grand time at Bag of Beans.

After Bag of Beans, we then went to Sonya’s to check the place and bought some pasalubongs from their bakery. After Sonya’s they wanted to go back again to Paseo de Sta. Rosa for more shopping. I was able to grab more great finds. I bought a Levi’s jeans at 50% off and another shirt for my dad from Adidas at 40% off. After shopping, we decided to go home na since we’re all dead tired already.

===
My officemate we’re so amazed with Bela because Bela was not shy in showing them all her tricks. This is the first time that Bela spent an entire day with them and so this is the first time that they were able to see Bela’s tricks. At 2 years old daw, she already knows a lot. Like on our way to Tagaytay, Bela started counting the trees from 1-10. When we we’re at Havaianas, Bela was identifying all the colors and images (fish, flower, bug, etc) that she sees at the poster outside. She even identified all the shapes that she sees. And she’s really a confident and sociable little girl because she readily played and entertained my officemates. Oh, I was one proud mom every time I hear compliments about Bela from my friends.

Early Bird

Posted by abie on 7:14 AM in ,
Good morning! I woke up early today; I’m already up at 6 AM. I’m so excited because in just a few days Howell be coming home. I got so pre-occupied in counting and anticipating his coming and I was not able to go back to sleep when I woke up at 6 AM. And since Bela is still asleep, I was able to do one opps agad…hehehe…

Howell went online also, so I was able to talk to him. He’s also excited na in going home. His flight will be on Sunday at 8 AM, and he’s already finished packing his things (that’s how excited he is to go home) He must have truly miss his baby.

We’re off to Tagaytay later. I checked and its 19 degrees C there. Brr, cold!!

A little bit of everything

Posted by abie on 6:58 PM in , ,
She is now with Howell. I was chatting with Howell this morning and he eagerly told me that he already received my Coach bag. It came with a box pa nga daw. But he didn’t know that I already checked the Coach website (that’s the first thing that I did when I reached the office this morning) and I already verified that it has been delivered to his hotel already.

Thanks again dad. Super love ko talaga yang gift mo sa akin

~~~
I already received an email from HotelTravel.com about our booking with BBC. Unfortunately, they were not able to book the room for us because the discounted rate for standard room is already fully booked.
So I immediately checked the website of AsiaTravel and they have an instant confirmation for the Standard room at BBC. I already booked our hotel but I haven’t given them my Credit Card details. Thing is, the only payment mode available to book the room is Prepay so I have to pay the whole amount ($390) via my credit card to book the room. Do you think this is safe? I have 24 hours to send them my credit card details while they hold the room for us. Otherwise, my booking will be cancelled.
What do you think guys? Should I book through them? I can’t book directly to BBC since when I called them last week, they are already fully booked for January and AsiaTravel.com rates are cheaper compared to booking directly to BBC.
~~~
We’re off to Tagayaty tomorrow with my office buddies as our Christmas get together. We decided to go out of town this time since every year we just go out for dinner or lunch to celebrate Christmas. So we wanted to try something new this year.

I’m excited since this is Bela’s second time only to Tagayatay and the first time she’s been here is when she’s only two months old.

Remember my post before about my laptop and my chocolate fountain not working? My laptop is ok now. It just miraculously worked on its own. I just tried using it one time and it worked.

But the same fate didn’t happened with my chocolate fountain. I thought I was just using the wrong kind of chocolate bar or the mixture of my chocolate is not correct that’s why the motor is not working since it’s having a hard time mixing the chocolate. And so I tried again twice (during our send off dinner for Howell and during my SK friend’s get together at our house) and in both cases, the motor will run for just 5 minutes and it will stop running. Even if I turned it off and turned it on again, the motor will not start to run. And so yesterday I decided to call the supplier where I bought my fountain and she’s asking me to bring it to her office so they can check it and have it fix.

I’ll drop the fountain later at her office. Hopefully they will be able to fix it. Sayang naman kse kung hindi kse medyo mahal din sya. I don’t think they will be able to return it to me before Christmas, so no chocolate fountain for us this coming Christmas (that’s why I’m a bit sad because I bought that fountain so we’ll have a nice dessert for Christmas). Oh well, too bad, so sad and there’s nothing I can do about it now.

How to become a medical assistant

Posted by abie on 1:20 PM in
My sister in law is a physical therapist and is she’s having a hard time looking for a job here that pays well. And so she has been planning to work in the US as a medical assistant to earn big bucks but she is quite not sure on where to start and what to do to get a job as a medical assistant.

And so I gave her this website that I found which can help her find medical assistant schools where she can get trainings to help her get a job in the health professions field. From the site, she can get up to date information about the leading online and campus healthcare schools across the US. This can help my sister in law choose the best medical assistant school for her. The site has a list of medical assistant schools categorized by state offering different healthcare trainings. Clicking on one of the schools from the list will give her free information on the different medical assistant training programs that the school offers. This can give her better information about the different medical training schools so she can choose which program is best for her among the different medical assistant programs being offered by each of the schools.

I know that getting her training from any of the schools recommended on this site will give her a better chance of getting a better job in the healthcare profession.

In the spirit of giving

Posted by abie on 9:08 AM in
It’s Christmas time once again. A time for sharing, giving and loving. Christmas is the perfect time to thank God for all the blessing that He has given us and it is also the perfect time to share this blessings to others. Wouldn’t it be nice to share something especially to our less fortunate brothers this Christmas season?

So if you’re into the spirit of giving, you can try visiting the site of Boatangel.org. They are a charitable institution and they have a charitable project, Donate boat, where they accept boat donations from donors all over the world. All the boat donations that they receive are being sold and auctioned at ebay through this website, www.charityboatsales.org. From this website, you will find boats that you can purchase at almost half of its appraised value or even less. What’s good about buying from this site is that proceeds from the sales of these boats is being used by Boat Angel to create and distribute for free the Children's Animation DVDS.

So you can help a lot of charities either my buying a boat from Boat Angel or by participating in their Donate my Boat project. Either way, you can help a lot of charities.

I've been tagged and awarded by my good friend Ems. Thanks for this sis. I'm now sending out both award and christmas greeting tag to Aggie, Apols, Jacqui, Jane, Jody, Joy, Kelly, Kitts, Mich, Nice, Peachy, and Pheng.

Make a paragraph or two regarding your personal meaning of Christmas, below the paragraph of the one who tagged you and you may put your name at the end of the paragraph linking back to your blog or right to the post of this particular tag. Then you tag as many as you can

Start copy here:

Christmas for me is the ultimate reminder on how much God loves us, that He gave His only Son Jesus Christ to be our Savior. For me, its a celebration of love and a time to share our blessings to others.. a time for giving and reaching out to the less fortunate and it's also a wonderful time to be with your family. Christmas is not just all about santa claus or the gifts that you will receive or for shopping, we should always remember that Jesus is the reason for the season and let us reflect on how much God loves us. - Just Let Go /Pieces of Me

Christmas is about giving love, forgiving. This remind us how lucky and how God love us when he gave us his only son Jesus Christ. A time for sharing our blessing to our family, friends and to others. - Celebrate Life /My Journey .

Christmas for me is not the new things that we have and enjoying the bounties in life but remembering that someone is born to redeem us from our sins and making sure of our salvation Teebob .

The true meaning of christmas for me is sharing, giving, expressing love to one another, and remebering that there is one person up there, who is born on the 25th of december to save us from everything . A lot of people told me that christmas is for kids. yes, it's true but I prefer to say that christmas is for everybody and sharing love to one another is the keyword remeber, "you can give without loving but you can't love without giving ". Alaverde33

Christmas is an annual holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus. The date of the celebration is traditional and is not considered to be his actual date of birth. Christmas festivities often combine the commemoration of Jesus birth with various secular customs, many of which have been influenced by earlier winter festivals.In most places around the world Christmas day happens on December 25. It's a special time of the year - a season of love and a season of giving. A time to share, to give and of course to receive a wonderful gift from beloved..Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow .

As the word Christmas itself convey, this day is the celebration of Christ. It's his day since this is the day we celebrate his birthday. Everything we do on this day should be in his honor...just like we get the honor when we celebrate our birthdays. So do what you normally do on this day but remember to give the honor to the celebrant himself, Christ. Juliana of Pinay Wahm and Teacher's Corner

Christmas for me is a time for selflessness. Its a time to reach out to family and friends in the spirit of peace and humility. Christmas is also for every child and the child in every grown up. More than receiving, its a wonderful thing to give this season. Giving doesn't have to be in the form of material things, but most importantly its the gift of time and unconditional love that counts. Indeed, Christ is the reason for this season.... - Abby of Mom And The City

Christmas for me is counting our blessings for the year that was and sharing every blessing we have to our loved ones. And most of all Christmas is for thanking Christ for giving us his only life. Christmas is beyond gift giving and more of love, forgiveness and prayers. - Something Purple

Christmas is a day of meaning and traditions, a special day spent in the warm circle of family and friends. Christmas is the perfect time to thank God for all the blessings that we received and Christmas is the perfect time to share this blessings that we receive to others. Christmas is the time for sharing, for forgiving and most especially for love. – Journey to Life

...and for all my blogging buddies mentioned above, I'm passing on this little christmas pup gift for you. Merry Christmas!

Still Waiting

Posted by abie on 11:41 PM in ,
I’m still waiting for a lot of things this week. First, I still haven’t received any reply from blogitive. My blog got rejected the first time I applied and so I tried re-applying my blog again 3 weeks ago and up to now, still got no reply from them.

Second, I have been checking the website of hoteltravel.com for our booking confirmation at Bohol Beach Club. It’s been two days already since I booked our accommodation online and still got no reply from them. I was able to talk to one of their agents via their live chat and I was informed that they haven’t received the final confirmation yet from BBC. They will just email me once they got the final confirmation from BBC.

Third, I’ve been checking the coach website for the status of the delivery of my coach bag.

Hopefully, I will be able to get an answer from all of them this week. I can’t wait…

Dilemma

Posted by abie on 11:16 PM in
I just received a phone call today from my brother and it’s regarding our old van that I bought for my mom and dad. He wants to send it to the repair shop since it’s already in a very bad condition and he’s asking me to split the expenses with him. I’m really not good with cars but I think we need to shell out a big amount of money to have the van in good running condition again. And so we have been contemplating if it is still worth it to have the van repaired or will we save more in the long run if we just buy a second hand car for my mom and dad. Of course we don’t have that instant cash to buy a new car so we have been thinking of getting an auto loan.

My brother asked me to look for an institution that offers car loans with low interest. So I have been surfing the net and found the site of getthebestautoloan.com. They offer loans for new cars or used cars and their interest is way much lower compared to auto loans obtained from car dealers. They even offer refinancing of current loan. I was able to get an online quote just by typing my personal information for free. So I just need to present the auto loan quote that I got to my brother so we can asses if we should just send the van for repair or if we should just buy a second hand car for my mom and dad.

I heart my coach

Posted by abie on 1:19 PM in , ,
Howell bought this for me....
He knows that I wanted a new bag as my Christmas gift. And while we we’re chatting yesterday, I show him the website of coach (syempre umi-istyle ako). And so he offered to buy me a bag from Coach (o diba effective style ko…hehehe).

So I browse the coach site right away and order the bag that I like online (bago magbago isip ni hubby). The standard shipping is free but the lead-time is 4-5 days so baka di na umabot bago umuwi si Howell. So I decided to have the express shipping (2-3 days delivery). I’m so excited for my new bag. Uwi ka na dad, dali…hehehe

Thank you dad for this wonderful gift. I love it.

But not like when Elliot was here, I decided I wouldn’t be trooping to Greenbelt to watch him perform since it’s Christmas season and for sure the malls are jam-packed. And last time we watched Elliott in Glorietta, they already have a guest list (mga friends and relatives cguro ng mga Ayala) and they we’re only the ones who are allowed to get in the activity center. Next time, when he comes back here for a concert, I will definitely watch him.
