0 tardy….almost

Posted by abie on 10:24 PM in ,
I almost had a zero tardiness record for this month until I arrived 7 minutes late this morning. Geesh!

We left a little later than usual because I have to change my pants since I accidentally spill coffee on it. Then I have to blame it also to the FX driver since he took a different route from the terminal to Makati, which is longer and with more traffic than the usual route that other FX drivers take.

It’s already 7:55 AM and we’re still in the street leading to Makati Med (I forgot the street name) so I was already expecting that I will be really late. And I was because I arrived 8:07 AM.

Oh maybe I should try a little harder next month.

Working Overtime

Posted by abie on 1:09 AM in ,
Bela didn’t sleep with us this evening. She slept at her lola house so I was able to do some post while waiting for Howell to arrive from her photo shoot.

He covered a 60th birthday party at Barbara’s in Intramuros. He must be really tired as he immediately fell asleep as soon as he arrived home. He turned on my laptop because he needs to download the pictures from his memory card but he fell asleep while waiting for the laptop to boot up.

Tomorrow he will have another shoot in the morning before we leave for Bela’s class at the Little Gym. I know he must be really tired from doing all this photo shoots. Sometimes I even tell him to stop accepting bookings because I don’t want him to drain his body but according to him, he is really enjoying it. Oh well, as long as he is happy, then I am happy too.

Help me select

Posted by abie on 12:52 AM in
I have a friend who is really into online gaming. Because of the hundreds of Online casinos available, she told me that her dilemma was she sometimes get confused on which online casino she should choose to play.

So while waiting for my husband to arrive from his photo shoot, I browse the net for Online casinos available and I stumbled upon the site of usplayerswelcome.net. It is a casino review site which features USA online casinos. By clicking on the name of the online casino, you will presented with information like promotions and bonuses offered by that casino, the type of games it offers, the currency and even the software it uses. And with just one click of the button, players can quickly enter the casino site and play.

For sure my friend will be happy with this as it can really help her select the best online casino for her.

DVD Shopping

Posted by abie on 12:33 AM in
After our dinner at Macapagal last Sunday, we checked out the DVD stores outside Trinity restaurant. We realized, there are a lot of good movies that we we’re not able to watch. So Howell decided to buy a copy of the movies that we we’re not able to see on the big screen.

And boy oh boy, he went home with I think 15 DVDs. I have to stop him from buying some more because I told him that he would really be overwhelmed by the DVDs that he has to buy because we really missed out a lot of good movies. I think the last movie that we saw was the Part 2 of the National Treasures.

But I was happy with his selections. I just hope that we will have a chance to watch it as Bela owns our TV and DVD player and when Bela is already asleep, we too are tired and sleepy already that we don’t have the energy to watch any of our DVDs.

Donate a boat. Help a charity.

Posted by abie on 12:05 AM in
Our family has made a promise that we will try as much as possible to visit and help at least one charitable institution every year. This is our own little way of showing our gratitude for all the blessings that we have been receiving. We know that this is not enough, but it is our own little way of passing forward the blessings that God has been showering us.

Last 2006, we visited the Missionaries of Charity and had a feeding program for the kids there. We we’re also able to gather donations form our friends and relatives that we we’re able to give to them. Last year we visited Hospicio de San Jose and had a feeding program also there.

We decided that we would try to visit a different charity every year, so I was doing my search on the net for the charity that we will be visiting this year and that’s how I stumbled upon the site of carangel.com and boatangel.org. They have a project called Donate my Boat to Charity. Their organization accepts Boat Donations and the proceeds of the sale of the boat will go to the charity chosen by the donor.

Project Donate Boats is a good way to help a charity for those individual who don’t have time to visit charities, gather donations and the like. Donate your boat now and for sure your old boat can help make a difference in someone else’s life.

The many benefits of the Internet

Posted by abie on 11:34 PM in
Will you agree with me if I say that majority of people rely on the Internet as the source of all information?

This is the reason why both businesses and consumers use the Internet for the many benefits that it gives to both the consumers and the businessmen. Businesses use the Internet to promote their products and attract customers. On the other hand, consumers use the Internet to search for anything and everything that they need.

For example, a consumer is looking for best deals in hotel accommodation. So the potential customer uses the Internet to search for all the promos and deals on hotel accommodation. Most often than not, the search engine will produce hundreds and thousands of search results and what usually happens is that the customer will only check the first few pages. So it is also important for businesses that their site should have good positioning in the World Wide Web so that their company’s URL will be presented in the top 10 or top 20 of the search results. This is where Search Engine Optimization comes into play. SEO experts employ techniques that can help improve the positioning of the company’s site in the World Wide Web.

This is just one of the examples on how both the consumers and businesses benefit form the Internet. And I’m really thankful since I’m one of those consumers who benefited a lot form the Internet.

To more bookings

Posted by abie on 6:38 PM in
Yehey. I received another confirmed booking for Fokalente Fotograpi. This will give Howell the extra cash that he needs to purchase the battery grip for his canon 40D.

Actually he already has the cash to buy the battery grip. He got it from his three bookings this March. But being the selfless dad that he is, he decided to delay his purchase of his battery grip so we can use the money to buy our tickets for Dora and friends Pirate Adventure show. I told him it's ok if we don't watch the show but according to Howell, his battery grip can wait because her princess Bela is always her first priority.

And God is really good since I just got a confirmation today from my officemate that they will be getting Howell for her mother's birthday party this coming April 13. So I'm really happy and thankful. At least hubby doesn't have to wait that long to buy the battery grip.

blogTV = live TV

Posted by abie on 3:12 PM in
Do you sometimes wish that you will be able to record a live show to showcase your talents in acting or video making and broadcast it so that your friends, relatives and fans can watch it live for free? Well dream no more since I discovered a site that will allow you to do just that. Introducing blogTV.com.

All you need is a webcam and an Internet connection and then after recording your video you can make a live broadcast of your show. Another cool feature of this site is that it allows you to chat with your viewers so you can get their opinions and views on the live tv that you created. Isn’t cool?

Effective Marketing Strategy

Posted by abie on 11:52 PM in
Howell and I were able to visit our favorite Korean restaurant yesterday and had dinner there. What I like about the place, aside from the fact that the food is really good and affordable is that the place is very homey. It’s like we are just chatting and dining right at our own home. Another thing that I like about the restaurant is the owner who is personally managing their business so they really know each of their customers.

Yesterday, we had a small chat with the owner and she mentioned that they will soon open a KTV bar and restaurant in the Makati area. Howell and I have long wanted to put up a business of our own so we really enjoy conversions like this. She mentioned that there are numerous KTV bars in the area so competition is a little stiff so it will definitely be a challenge to attract customers especially in the first few months of operations.

Howell and I suggested that they should hire a Marketing Company that can help them make strategies to bring and drive customers to their new establishment. She liked the idea and she admitted that even though she has a vast experience in putting up a business, she believes getting help from marketing companies would be a good move to help them develop effective marketing strategies for their new business.

Are men vain too?

Posted by abie on 10:52 PM in
I’m just curious. A lot of people are saying that most women are really vain and this is evident by the numerous medicines, procedures and surgeries available to enhance the beauty and appearance of women.

But if there are products like this for women, are there male enhancement products available too? So out of curiosity I did a search on the net and found a site that offers numerous male enhancement products like penis enlargement pills, male enhancement patches, penis stretcher and the like.

So those this proves that men are vain too? I leave this all up to you to decide.

Oceans 11

Thanks Farah for this tag. I had fun doing it.

Name 11 people you can think of right off the top of your head. Don't read the questions underneath until you write the names of all 11 people. This is a lot funnier if you actually randomly list the names first.. No cheating.

My cousin has always been there for us. If there is one though and difficult situation in the family, we always go to her for support.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF #5 CONFESSED HE/SHE LOVES YOU ?

Optimize your Website

Posted by abie on 1:57 PM in
Every time I need to look for a restaurant, a product, or just about anything, I always rely on search engines to give me answers to whatever I’m looking for. But with hundreds and thousand of website available, I always get numerous pages of search results.

This made me realize how powerful Internet can be in a business. Since the advent of the Internet, a lot of people rely on the Internet to find anything and everything they are looking for. But it is still not enough though, that company has internet sites. It is very important that company has internet sites and their websites have good positioning and ranking in the World Wide Web. Otherwise, if a person makes a search the company’s website link with just be buried in the last few pages of the search page results.

As an IT professional myself, I highly recommend businesses to hire professionals who can implement Search Engine Optimization techniques to their website. These search engine optimization experts uses strategies like keyword and key phrase optimized web copy, web site submissions, linking, and the like to help increase the website’s positioning and ranking in the World Wide Web. By employing search engine optimization techniques to a company’s website, they help drive customers to the company.

In today’s modern world where customers uses search engine like Google and Yahoo, it is really of prime importance that company’s websites should have high positioning in the World Wide Web to get more customers knocking at their doorstep.

Closing Time

Posted by abie on 11:46 PM in , ,
I left the office at exactly 4:30 PM because I need to go to BPI before it closes at 5:00 PM because I need to pay for my credit card bill which is due today.

BPI recently change their banking hours from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM so I decided to go after office instead of going out during lunch time where it is really hot. Since I left at exactly 4:30, I figured I still have 30 minutes before they closes so I really don’t have to rush since there is a BPI branch just across our building. But lo and behold. I was surprise to find out that they are already close. According to the guard, head office suddenly decided to change their closing time to 4:30 PM. Great customer service.

So tomorrow, I have to go out during lunch time to pay for my bills. Hope I won’t be charge with any penalty as I will really be piss with them.

Coffee break ver. 1.2 by Jan

If you were to suggest
summer venues in the Philippines,
what 3 get-away trips
would you recommend?

Howell and I both love the beach (although I’m not a fan of boat ride). It’s our perfect definition of fun and relaxation. So all the places that I will suggest are beaches here in the Philippines.

1. Bohol – tops our list. I will never get tired of Bohol. In fact almost every year, we come and visit Bohol. I love the place since it is not crowded and commercialized compared to Boracay. It’s really a perfect family get away. Every time we go there, we always get one relaxing vacation. Plus the people are really friendly, the resorts, hotels, transpo, food, etc are really affordable compared to other know tourist spots. Also, if you get tired of the beach there are a lot of nice and interesting places that you can visit in Bohol like the Chocolate Hills, the Loboc River or you can visit the old churches there.

.: @ Bohol Beach Club :.

2. Boracay – the ultimate beach party place.

@ Puca Beach Day 2

3. I haven’t been to Palawan (since I’m not keen in riding boats) but I would love to visit El Nido.

Web Conferencing Tool

Posted by abie on 10:32 AM in
Ever since our system got upgraded from Windows NT to Windows XP, we have been enjoying the benefits of Microsoft Windows remote access. Since our office occupies three floors, we don’t have to go to each floor or each client, every time they need technical support. We just have to run the Windows remote desktop to gain access to the desktop of the client.

This technology is really very useful, easy to use, effective and saves a lot of time for us Information Technology professionals. My boss has been reviewing the benefits that we get from this remote support technology and have asked me to find a way to use this same technology for remote trainings.

Right now, every time employees from the Asia region needs technical training for a particular software, trainers from headquarters conduct training by phone which is really not effective since participants don’t get a picture and control of the computer applications.

So I tried searching the web and discovered RHUB Web Conferencing technology. It uses the same technology as Microsoft Remote Desktop and it allows sharing of computer applications among groups of participants over the Internet. It is one effective way to conduct trainings remotely so participants can get to see and control the shared computer applications.

What’s best about this web conferencing tool is that it is very easy use so ordinary users who don’t have that much knowledge about IT won’t have a hard time using it.

I will review this product more so I can present this to my boss and hopefully we can use this web conferencing tool for the next remote training that will be attended by our Property section.

For our Future Investment

Posted by abie on 9:00 AM in
I was just talking with my husband last night and we both decided that we should think of a new investment so we can start saving for our future. Our cell phone store is not doing really good as sales are continuously dropping. Our piggery is not doing good as well as the prices of piglets are dropping too.

So we are really looking for a new way to invest our money. The criteria that we are looking for is a solid investment that don’t easily depreciate, and one that is unique and will really protect our investment. So I have been surfing the net and found the site of Monex.com.

I have been reading the information on their site and I have come to learn that buying gold is one of the best investments since it is one of the best ways to preserve one's wealth. And I can easily buy gold from their website and they can personally deliver it or they can arrange for its safe storage in a bank.

We are definitely considering gold as one of our future investments. We just have to check for our budget to decide when can we starting buying gold from Monex.

After 4 days of vacation, I’m now back to being a slave. I think my mind is still in vacation mode but there is a lot of work to do, so even though my mind is resisting, I have no choice.

Actually, we’re home almost the whole Holy week. Besides, Manila is the best place to be during holy week since there’s no traffic. We just dropped by our house in Bulacan last Saturday to check on our pigs and then went home after that.

Hope there would be more of these long vacations. I will surely miss every morning where we are always greeted by Bela’s warm smile. I will surely miss those days where we just had a quiet afternoon at home, just spending some quality time with our dear Bela. I will surely miss those days where we can just lay in bed the whole afternoon and sleep.

I will surely miss all of these things but it’s time to go back to work now.

Weird Dream

Posted by abie on 9:37 AM in

I had a dream last night about our Singapore trip. I dreamt that I was really disappointed about our Singapore trip when we arrived home because we we’re not able to go around. In the four days that we’re there, we we’re only able to visit Sentosa.

In my dream, apparently I had a “memory gap” again and totally forgot all the places that I included in my itinerary. And it was only when we arrived home that I realized that we we’re not able to go to the Under Water world in Sentosa, The Singapore Zoo and even the Night Safari.

I was really crying in my dream but Howell was still the calm person that I know and he is comforting me and was saying that we will just go back there soon to visit the places that we missed.

I was really glad when I woke up and found out that it is only a dream. So this reminds me that I should really prepare for our itinerary and write it down so we won’t miss any of the nice places that you guys suggested.

I must be really excited for this trip. Don’t you think?

So I can smile again

Posted by abie on 5:11 PM in
It’s almost the end of the month again and I suddenly remember that March 31 will be the last day where we can avail free dental procedure from our health plan provider for this fiscal year. I remember during my last checkup, the Lincoln Dentist informed me that I have an impacted tooth which needs to be removed right away since it will be really a burden for me in the long run. It’s been almost a year now and I still haven’t done the surgery yet to remove my impacted tooth.

I notice recently that this impacted tooth is starting to bother me as I sometimes experience terrible tooth ache and I have to take a powerful pain killing medicine for the pain to go away.

But I’m one of those people who are really scared to go to a dentist. I have taken good care of my teeth and never have I experienced any tooth extraction procedure. So if ever I proceed with this surgery, this will be my first major dental procedure which brings more fear to my system.

But scared or not, I realized that this surgery has to be done as soon as possible before this impacted tooth worsen. I hope I can find a Nebraska Dentist who can provide quality service, has a gentle touch and who understands my fears and will really take god care of me.

Me Time

Posted by abie on 11:07 PM in , ,
I’m glad that my dad is enjoying blogging as much as I do. In fact he was really challenged that he was doing some readings on how he can improve his posts and even asked me to teach him on how to use some of the features of blogspot.

So Howell agreed to baby sit Bela while I give my dad a tutorial on blogspot like how he can upload images, change font attributes, change font color and the like. So he tried to make one posting and while he is busy typing in MS Word (which I’m really glad he learned to accept as before, he prefers to write his entries instead of typing it in MS Word), I was able to watch CSI. And they mentioned Manila in this week’s episode. They found a Filipino delicacy lying on the floor and Warrick Brown (Gary Dourdan) told Nick Stokes (George Eads) that his grandmother has a friend from Manila who makes those delicacies.

CSI has always been one of my favorite TV series but I don’t get to watch it that often now specially when we decided to remove the TV in our bedroom and move it to the other room. And since Bela sleeps early now, we have to go up to our room early which gives me no time to watch CSI. And so I was really happy I was able to have my “me time” tonight and finally able to watch CSI Vegas again.

2007’s Hollywood sexiest actress.

Posted by abie on 11:00 PM in
I was able to arrive home early today as we have an early closure and so I was able to find the time to browse the net while I’m still not sleepy. I was just browsing some sites until I stumbled upon the site of the 10 Sexiest Hollywood actresses in 2007. And guess who tops the list? The big winner is Jennifer Aniston.

She is really one sexy woman. This makes me wonder if her body is all natural or if she has undergone some cosmetic surgery procedure like having saline breast implants.

But whether she has gone under the knife or not the fact still remains. She is really one sexy and beautiful woman and she really deserves to be 2007’s Hollywood sexiest actress.

coffee break ver. 1.1: Is your Lenten season a time for reflection or a time for relaxation?

Posted by abie on 7:45 PM in
To answer Jan’s question (before I do my research about search engine ranking), for me Lenten Season is a bit of both reflection and relaxation.

It’s the prefect time to relax since it’s a long weekend and it is very rarely that we have this long weekend. So it’s the best time to spend some quality time with my family and bond with each of them as this is the only time that we are all at home.

We used to do the Visita Iglesia but I don’t think we would be able to do it this year as it is difficult to travel with my 2 year old daugther. But on the other hand, I believe that we can still reflect for all that has happened to us for the past year even if we’re at home.

It has also been a tradition in our family to have the caridad on Good Friday as a sign of thanksgiving for all the blessings that God has bestowed upon us.

For Innovation

Posted by abie on 7:28 PM in
We just got back from our team building session last week. The theme for our team building for this year is Innovation and our boss did a round table discussion and asked us for our suggestion on how we can have innovation in our section.

One of my suggestions is that we should look for tech schools where we can get it training so we can at least have one IT related training per year. Our system doesn’t get upgraded within a span of five years and in that five years, we rarely get it trainings. And since IT is a fast moving field, attending trainings and seminars can help us get updated with the latest in the IT field.

My boss kind of agreed to my suggestion, if budget will permit and have asked me to look for a technical school where we can get IT Trainings. Hope the budget for this fiscal year will allow us to attend IT trainings as this can be a really big help for us ITPs in updating our knowledge.

No, it’s not me! But I just received a good news from my friend yesterday and she is now 5 weeks pregnant. Guess who she is. I’m so happy and excited for them. I know they already want a baby. Yehey, Bela will now have a playmate every time we go out.

Do take care always and hope you have a safe pregnancy.

Another week...

Posted by abie on 2:35 PM in
It was another short and busy weekend for us.

Saturday, Bela had her first dental visit. (I will make a separate entry about it on Bela’s blog).

Sunday, we went to Little Gym for Bela’s class while Howelll went with my brother and cousin to watch the Pacquiao – Morales match. After class, Lolo Ben happily took Bela to Fun Ranch and enjoyed some of the rides there with his dear apo.

After Fun Ranch, we went to Shangri-La to exchange my bag at Baby Couture. I learned from a n@wie that Baby Couture bags have 1 year warranty and since the strap of my Sydney 07 bag is almost ripped off already, I decided to exchange it for a new bag. And they replace it right away with a new bag. I just have to pay P14.75 since the price of Sydney 07 increased by P14.75 since I bought it last October 2007.

Then we head straight home to attend the birthday party of my best friend’s son. Then we went to mass after the party.

I was so dead tired when we reached home that I immediately fell asleep when we went to our room. I’m looking forward to this week as this will be a short week and hopefully I’ll have the time this weekend to just relax, reflect and rest.

MCS Team Building Exercise 2008

Posted by abie on 1:58 AM in
We had our Team Building Exercise last Wednesday at Mimosa in Clark, Pampanga. We left the office around 8 AM. It was a 1.5 hour drive from Makati. The venue was a surprise to all of us as we really don’t know where we are going.

We arrived around 9:30 AM and we had a short meal upon arriving. Then we proceed with all the activities. The Team Building Exercise was organized by Global Gutz. It is our second time with them. They first organized for our team building two years ago in South Woods and they prepared fun games for all of us, including playing a paint ball game.

This time, they organized an Amazing Race as our team building exercise. The first activity is the Lost Marines, then the group something walk (I forgot how they call it). The first team to finish the second activity will be the first to start the race.

They provided us with a jeepney to transport us to four locations The first location is the Clark Museum where we have to answer 10 questions and we can get the answers from the exhibits at the museum. Next stop is the cemetery where we have to look for the tomb stone of Michael Edward so we can compute what his age would be if he were still alive. Then we went to the Clark Picnic Grounds where we have to sing two songs from the Videoke machine and our scores will be added. Then we have to go around the path of the Picnic Ground using a trike to transport all the team members. Our last destination is the Nayong Pilipino where we have to search for the clue envelopes.

Both teams got equal scores so both team wins. It was one tiring but fun activity. I was feeling sick at first but got really excited when the facilitator said that we will be doing an Amazing race.

After the race, we had lunch at Holiday Inn and the food was sumptuous. My favorite is the dessert buffet station where they have churos and chocolate fountain.

After lunch, we had a round table discussion about innovation (which is the theme for this year’s team building). Good thing we only have less than an hour for this as we are all tired and sleepy already after the race and after having a heavy lunch.

We left Clark at 3 PM and head back to Makati.

I wonder where we will be going next year.

Online Shopping Addiction & Protection

Posted by abie on 1:18 AM in
Online shopping has been one of my favorite past time now. I discovered that there are a lot of online shops where I can buy lot of stuffs with prices that is way much cheaper if I buy the items directly from the stores. For the past two weeks, I have been ordering clothes, shoes, and school stuffs for my daughter. I always use my credit card in all of these purchases.

But I was just doing some reading and I found out that some costumers are scared to use their credit card for online purchases because they are afraid that they might be a victim of Identity Theft. I learned that Identity theft is one of the most common crimes now so people are really being careful when giving out their credit card information online.

But I also learned that consumers have ways to protect themselves from Identity Theft. There are a lot of tools available, like the LoudSiren fraud alert management system. Once you’re enrolled with this system of Loud Siren, they will notify you immediately by phone once a credit request had been made under your name and you have the option to deny or accept the credit request. This is one way of protecting yourself from Identity Theft.

So if you are interested, visit LoudSiren.com for more information and to avail of their $10 off promo when you sign up for a year.

Midwest Auto Recycling

Posted by abie on 12:12 AM in
I was waiting for Howell come dinner time as he said that he’ll be home by 8:00 PM. But an hour just passed already and he is still not home. Then I received a phone call from him and he said that his car broke down. It just stops running and he have to ask the bystanders to help him give the car a push. Then after several tries, the car suddenly starts running again.

We really have to send our car for a check up. But I’m afraid that we have to shell out a big amount of money for repair, labor and parts. That’s why we might consider buying auto parts from midwest auto recycling shop, car-part.com. It’s safe to buy auto parts from them because all of their auto parts have been started, inspected and cleaned. Buying auto parts from them will be a big saving for us specially now that we have a lot of expenses for this month.

Here is a run down of my activities last week:

* I was on sick leave last Tuesday because of a very terrible headache
* Attended the MCS Team Building at Mimosa in Clark.
* Deployed PCs at the Immigration Section from Thursday to Friday that’s why I was out of my room for two days.
* Waited for my mom’s OB’s advice so we can admit my mom at Chinese General for her D&C.

I promise to finish all your tags this weekend.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Trasylol side effects lawsuit claim attorney

Posted by abie on 10:18 AM in
Have you heard of the drug Trasylol? My friend who is a doctor mentioned it to me since I told her that my nanny’s aunt will be undergoing a cardiopulmonary bypass surgery. My doctor friend told me that some doctors use this medicine to reduce blood loss but recent studies have shown that this drug can increase the risk of kidney damage, heart attacks, and strokes.

I did some research about it so I can relay the information to my nanny and I just found out that a number of lawsuits have been filed against the maker of Trasylol because patients who have been given Trasylol have been experiencing complications after the surgery which they believe is caused by this drug.

So if you are one of those patients or you know someone who is, then you should start looking for a Trasylol side effects lawsuit claim attorney like O'Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath Texas injury lawyers to get a free consultation and advice since they are already investigating the cases nationwide regarding Trasylol drug.

Big Transport Strike today

Posted by abie on 8:34 AM in ,
There will be a transport strike today. Organizers of the strike said that this will be big since even tricycle drivers will participate so it will really paralyze the transport system today. Hope people won’t have a hard time getting home from work today. I’m lucky since I don’t have to worry about that since I called in sick today. It’s the event tomorrow at the office that I’m more worried about. Wish me luck!

SG Itinerary

Posted by abie on 12:04 AM in
Thanks to Cebu Pacific’s P888 International Seat sale, I was able to book for our airfare to Singapore. I was really excited already that I already started to do my research for our itinerary.

Based from my readings and from recommendations of my friends, we should check out Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, Sentosa and Jurong Bird Park and then we should just shop, shop and shop. And I also heard that they just opened their latest attraction, The Singapore Flyer (similar to London Eye) so I definitely would want to see it.

We will only be there for four days and three nights so I’m hoping that we can do all of this.

New York Hotel Deal

Posted by abie on 11:32 PM in
My husband and I have been discussing about our travel plans for this year. We are hoping that we can have a budget so we can celebrate our daughter’s third birthday in the US. I already talked to my friend in Los Angeles and she invited us to stay at their house while we are there. We plan to take two weeks leave from work so we can make the most of our trip since the airfare is not cheap. And we are considering in going to New York for our second week. Howell and I truly enjoyed New York when we went there and so we want our daughter to have the same experience. And for sure she will definitely love to shop at the biggest outlet of Toys ‘R Us in New York.

I’m already staring to plan for our trip. Since we already have a place to stay in Los Angeles, I just have to find an affordable accommodation in New York. I’m currently looking at the New York Hotel Deal that I found from NewYorkHotels.com. I love their site since it is easy to search and book a NY hotel direct from their site. Aside from the fact that they offer the cheapest rates in New York, I love their site since I can easily search a hotel and add it to my favorites and compare all of the hotels that I selected base on the price, star rating, and availability.

.: I-Witness Documentary Fest @ Powerbooks Trinoma :.

We initially planned to go to Podium after Bela’s class last Sunday at the Little Gym. But Howell said that he wanted to attend the Documentary Fest of I-witness at Trinoma. After hearing Trinoma, my eyes twinkle. Hmm, Trinoma have more shopping outlets than Podium, so why not.

So after our lunch at Racks, we head to Trinoma. We went straight to Power Books and the I-witness team is already starting the autograph signing. Howell purchased their DVD box set which contains collections of documentary done by Sandra Aguinaldo, Kara David, Howie Severino and Jay Taruc.

Howell lined up and he said that we wait for him at the end of the line so Bela and I can have our picture too with the I-witness team.

Jay Taruc is a little quite not like Sandra, Howie and Kara who are making conversations with the fans. Kara even asked Howell what his name was and was shocked when she found out that Howell is a “katukayo” of Howie Severino. (Howell used Howie for his nickname sa office. He doesn’t use it at home as he knows that I prefer Howell over Howie). Kara even joked “So Horacio din pangalan mo?” And Howie Severino, doesn’t want to believe Howell when he told him that his name was also Howie. He thouhth, Howell was joking. But the message that he wrote for Howell is my favourite

From Howie Severino:
To Howie, my katukayo. Dakilang Viewer din!!

Howell was really happy. All of his DVDs have been signed by all of the I- witness team and we even have pictures with them.

Below are some of our pictures taken by yaya:

He did.
Who is taller?
We’re the same height.
Who sings better?
He does. I have no talent in singing.
Who is smarter?
I say we’re both smart. LOL.

The labandera
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed?
I do.

We split the bills.

Who is more stubborn?
The two of us. We have the same zodiac sign so we almost have the same personality.
Who kissed who first?

He does. I guess I’m more stubborn than him that’s why.
Whose parents do you see the most?
Mine. We live just close to my parents’ house.

We both have lots of friends, but I think he has more as he still sees his friends from elementary.

He does.
So let's see what you have to say about your hubs: apols, apple, jacqui, kelly, and jody.

Who are you?

Have you seen the season premiere of CSI Vegas last night? I have been waiting for it for the longest time already since the last episode of Season 7 left all the viewers hanging, on what’s going to happen with Sarah after the miniature serial killer trapped her under the car. And I love to see what’s going to happen with Grissom and Sarah’s relationship.

Yesterday’s episode was not really heart pounding compared to the episode where they have to rescue Nick from his kidnapper. But I really missed the CSI Vegas team (they’re my favorite compared to the other CSI New York and CSI Miami) so I’m really glad they they’re back.

I’m looking forward to more exciting episodes of CSI Vegas and I’m really curious and excited to find out if the relationship of Grissom and Sarah will last as I really like them together.

So Wednesday night, every 10:00 PM at AXN, will be night.

Lazy me

Posted by abie on 8:50 PM in
I don’t know why I’m so lazy this week. I always sleep early and don’t bother to go online in the evening. Maybe I’m just so tired because we are so busy in the office right now (we are currently deploying new PCs at the Immigration section). Or maybe I’m catching up on sleep since I always sleep late all the time. Sometimes, I’m even awake until 3 AM. This is the reason also why I haven’t posted my last weekend’s updates.

I’m still feeling lazy now so I might hit the sack early again. Hopefully Ill be out of this lazy mode soon so I can start doing all tags and post all my updates.

Good night for the now.

Internet still down

Posted by abie on 10:59 AM in
Destiny Internet sucks. Our cable internet connection (where my stand alone PC is connected) is down since Friday. According to the building administrator, the whole building is down. But I can’t imagine that it’s been 5 days already and they still haven’t resolved the issue. And the worst part is we have been trying to call them since Friday, and we’re always put on hold. So we have to send a driver to their office to hand deliver our complaint letter.

My boss is really pissed already. But what can we do, we are at the mercy of Destiny. We always experience lost of connection every once in a while, but connection will just be gone for 4-8 hrs and will be restored the very next day. Somebody will be coming over this afternoon from Destiny (well it’s about time) and hopefully, everything will be fix within the day.

Today

Posted by abie on 7:46 AM in
Looks like we will be having one hectic day today. First, we will be attending Bela’s class at Little Gym. After, class we’ll have lunch, probably at Racks since I’ve been craving for it for a week now. Then I want to go to Podium to buy Bela a bag and hand towels which she will need for school (so I sound excited? LOL). Then I also want to go to Tiendesitas so we can go to Little Lambs Spa so Bela can have a haircut. Then we will hear mass.

But still, everything is still dependent with Bela. If she starts to throw tantrums (which usually happens since she is already sleepy after her Little Gym class), we might just have lunch and hear mass.

Do you think she’s spoiled? Part 2

Posted by abie on 7:37 AM in
Have you seen my first entry about this? If you haven’t, check it out here.

This is one of Bela’s new trip. Every time they have to go out, they have to bring all of these umbrellas, all ten of them. When it’s time for them to go out, Bela will get her shoes or slippers and she will shout “ambella, ambella.” And even if they trick her and just bring a few, she will inspect it before going out of the door and will notice it if there is even one that is missing.

.: Bela and her umbrellas :.

.: Counting her umbrellas :.

.: Bela, inspecting her umbrellas if it is complete :.

Her lola is already complaining as the umbrellas are heavy. LOL. Yaya already kept the big ones. I just don’t know if it will work with Bela and will let them go out without all of her umbrella.

To Rome we go

Posted by abie on 8:57 AM in
Two weeks ago, me and my office buddies went to the travel expo at the Mall of Asia to check out some good travel package deals. This has been an annual tradition for our group as we always go to the travel expo together every year. But the irony of it is that we have never traveled together internationally.

We have long been planning on where our first out of the country trip would be. Majority of us have already been to major countries in Asia like Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia and a lot of us have already traveled to the United States. Luckily, when we went to the last travel expo, we we’re able to find an affordable airfare package to Rome. And so this has inspired us to start preparing for our long planned Italy trip.

I was tasked to search for affordable and great Rome hotels and since I’m really excited, I did my research already and discovered romaclick.com. What’s good about romaclick.com is that their hotels are at the heart of Rome. And if we are on a budget, they even offer Rome apartments that are affordable for travelers like us who are on a budget. I hope this trip will push through as I’m really excited already just thinking of the great and historical places that we can visit in Rome.
