Bela's First Bora Adventure
Bela had her first Bora adventure last Sept 1-3.
My mom was supposed to go there for their annual Barangay Chairman Conference & we decided to follow her there. But my mom decided not go because she's helping my dad manage their new business. So I decided we won't push through w/ our vacation also.
But Howell is really keen on having a relaxing vacation. He’s been really busy kse with work & almost all weekends of August & September, he has a birthday shoot.
So I gave in to my husband’s wish and booked our tickets Wednesday, for our Saturday flight.
SATURDAY
We took the first flight to Kalibo via Cebu Pacific (I still can’t find the courage to try the Asian Spirit flight). We reached Kalibo around 10 AM & took one of the private vans that will take us to Caticlan. We will be staying with my friend Malou who lives in Boracay Island. She fetched us at Jetty Port. We head straight to their house for lunch. And oh my, she has one amazing house. It has 3 floors & it’s overlooking the beach. And since everything is made of glass, you’ll have a good overlooking view of the beach.
We waited until around 3:30 PM before we head to the main beach. Malou’s kids, Ryan & Sarah joined us that afternoon. We were supposed to have a pictorial of Bela for the invitation of her luau themed party, but as soon as she sees the beach she immediately wants to take a plunge. We had a sumptuous seafood dinner at Dampa then had a few drinks at the Nigi Nigi Bar. We then call it a night after that.
SUNDAY
We woke up early because we planned to leave early. But since Bela was awake until 12:30 AM she woke up around 8:30 na. After breakfast, we head to Fridays resort at Station 1. Bela was still sleepy when we reached Fridays. So after finishing her milk, she fell asleep again. Howell and my sister Vj, take a quick swim and they even tried skim boarding. One thing bad happened though that morning: Howell lost his wedding ring. huhuhu
We then went home for lunch. Right after lunch, we went to Puca Beach (at the other side of the island). It’s quieter here since it is less commercialize. Bela really had fun swimming. Kahit malakas ang alon at nakakainom na sya ng tubig, deadma pa din din sya. Super enjoy talaga ang anak ko.
We decided to go back to the main beach for some more pictorials and for some pasalubong shopping at the D’mall and the D’Market. We walked from Station 1 to Station 2 to enjoy the view. We then have dinner at Gastof then did some pasalubong shopping. We had a long day so we went home right after we finish our shopping list.
MONDAY: Our Last Day
We left Malou’s house right after eating lunch. And good thing we left early because there’s heavy traffic on the way to the port – kse may sunog daw and the road is impassable for 1-2 hrs. But we can’t afford to wait for 1-2 hours since we will be missing our 4 Pm flight. Buti na lang Malou has a lot of connections so she was able to talk to the Nigi Nigi manager to let us hitched in their private boat going to Jetty Port.
Hay, it was one fun vacation talaga. And sabi nga ni Howell kahit nawala daw yung ring nya, sulit naman kse sobrang enjoy talaga si Bela. Thanks for taking us to Bora, dad. Sa uulitin po. Bohol naman?
